Jonny Leigh
Born in the West of England and educated in London, Jonny Leigh is a character and fashion illustrator based in East London.
Having been brought up by two very creative parents in North Somerset, it was maybe inevitable that Jonny went down the artistic route. He studied Illustration at Camberwell Art College (UAL) in London, using drawing, printmaking and architecture as a focus. He also studied at The Institute of Education, University College London, which has enabled him to teach Graphic Design and Illustration part-time at a college in East London.
Jonny is a regular contributor to the Crockett & Jones footwear brand articles,  illustrating the 'Guest Author' section of their website. Generally, his work has a focus within fashion illustration although he has covered a diverse range of other subjects including cocktail menus at The Kempinski Hotel, Munich and a Rolls Royce rally in Moscow. He often works with combining fashion illustration with architecture and he is interested in putting figures within contexts. He currently works with clients around the globe creating illustration content for brands, and illustrating personalised portraits for businesses and individuals. Jonny has a range of working methods to create his illustrations and has recently used digital processes – tablets and an iPad – to create drawings of characters.
